So XFCE4.10 has an Official Xubuntu PPA now! That means that we can now use the Official PPA stable instead of the previously mentioned XFCE4.10-pre release
Here is how you can do it…
So while XFCE 4.10 has been out for a few days, no OFFICIAL PPA has shown up, but you can get XFCE 4.10 (pre-release) installed on your *buntu system. I will go ahead and mention that this PPA will eventually be outdated, once the Official PPA gets made, but until then, lets use what we can. after all, when the Official PPA is available, upgrading will be a snap!
So while Dan Rabbit’s elementaryOS is still considered a “work in progress”, you can, however, with the help of Ubuntu 12.04 set up the needed PPA’s and get yourself this new Desktop Environment and play with it. It should be noted that “luna” is considered “unstable”, but I will be honest with you, I have not really had any issues with it what so ever, or at least nothing that a sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade could not fix.
